Home Server Backup

Private-use Google Drive backup application

Home Server Backup

Home Server Backup is a personal backup integration used by its owner to store encrypted, versioned backups in the owner's Google Drive account.

How it works

The application uses Rclone to connect to Google Drive and Restic to create encrypted backup repositories. Backup contents and the associated backup metadata are encrypted locally before upload. Google Drive stores encrypted repository objects rather than readable original files.

Google OAuth authorises access for the account owner. The intended Google Drive permission is limited to files created or opened through this application, rather than general access to unrelated Drive documents.

This is an informational website for a privately operated tool. It does not host a sign-in portal, store backups, or provide access to private home-server systems.

For information about Google account permissions, data handling and backup retention, read the privacy policy and terms of use.
